Solid Concepts Announces Immediate Availability Of A
Direct Pro/ENGINEER® Interface Built On PTC’s Granite™ One
Interface will help users collaborate with suppliers to speed new products to market

VALENCIA, CA — September 13, 2001—Solid Concepts, Inc., a leading supplier of 3D View and Markup software, announced today that it has signed an agreement with PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), the Product Development Company , to offer interoperability solutions built on PTC’s Granite™ One to end users. The recently announced Granite One is an interoperability platform based on the unmatched geometry, feature and data exchange capabilities at the core of Pro/ENGINEER®, PTC’s market leading mechanical computer-aided design software. One of the key advantages of solutions built on Granite is the ability to interoperate associatively with other Granite based tools, providing updates to downstream applications based on any changes in an original solid model.
SolidView/Pro is a member of the SolidView® family of low-cost, view and markup solutions that enable non-CAD users to easily view and evaluate complex designs. The new interface built upon PTC’s Granite One platform enables SolidView/Pro users to directly view, measure and communicate native Pro/ENGINEER files.
